About the Artist
Medicine, Photography & the Study of Light
I have long been moved by light’s ability to reach beyond what the eye can see.
Light is among medicine’s oldest therapeutic tools. Across the visible and invisible spectrum, it can reveal what lies beneath the surface, guide diagnosis, and deliver treatment to places no hand can safely reach.
Photography begins with a related act of discovery. Light gives form to what might otherwise remain unnoticed, changing not only how a place appears, but how it is felt.
For more than fifteen years, I have practiced medicine, and for more than a decade, I have worked as a professional photographer. Healing Light grew from the intersection of those two disciplines—a project shaped equally by my life in medicine and my devotion to photography.
At its foundation is a shared principle: light can reveal, reach, and transform. And because light has always had a place in healing, I believe art shaped by light belongs there as well—in the spaces where people come to recover, endure, hope, and heal.
This is Healing Light.
