Description
About This Photograph
The Eiffel Tower caught in the gap between two Haussmann facades.
Print Resolution & Viewing Distance
Every size of this photograph is cut to its native proportions from the 9504×6336-pixel master — no crop, no upscaling. Print resolution is that master spread across each printed inch. The viewing range is where a piece of that size is designed to hang; every size below resolves finer detail than the eye can separate from its ideal distance.
| Print size | Resolution | Sharp beyond | Ideal viewing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 16″ × 24″ | 396 DPI | 9 in | 3.5–5 ft |
| 25.33″ × 38″ | 250 DPI | 14 in | 5.5–7.5 ft |
| 40″ × 60″ | 158 DPI | 22 in | 9–12 ft |
Framed Fine Art Paper Print

Printed by Giclée on Somerset Velvet fine art paper — a thick, acid-free cotton paper with a soft velvet surface that holds deep blacks and fine tonal detail. Pigment inks are rated to resist fading for over 100 years.
- Frame — solid wood. Natural Oak at 1.25″ wide × 0.875″ deep, Gold Plein Air at 3″ wide × 1.125″ deep, or Matte Black at 1.625″ wide × 1.375″ deep.
- Matting — 4-ply white matboard cut with a 45° bevel, in a 2.5″ or 3″ border. The largest size ships without a mat so the image fills the frame.
- Glazing — optical-grade clear acrylic. Lighter and safer than glass, and it will not shatter in transit.
- Mounting — print dry-mounted to foam core, with a kraft paper dust cover sealing the back.
- Hanging — hanging wire pre-installed and ready to hang on arrival. Three-Point Secure Mount available as an option — fastens the frame to the wall at three points; recommended for healthcare and other high-traffic settings.
Framed Canvas

Printed on archival polycotton canvas — 360 gsm, 0.48 mm thick, acid-free and pH-neutral so it resists yellowing. Hand-stretched over solid wood stretcher bars.
- Frame — 1.5″ solid wood floating frame in Natural Oak, Espresso, or Black. The canvas sits inset with a shadow gap, giving the piece depth and separation from the frame.
- Sides — mirror wrap: the image is mirrored around the canvas edge, so the reveal inside the floating frame continues the picture rather than a painted border.
- Mounting — black backing board, no underlayer.
- Hanging — hanging wire pre-installed. Three-Point Secure Mount available as an option — fastens the frame to the wall at three points; recommended for healthcare and other high-traffic settings.
White Metallic Print

The image is dye-sublimated directly into the coating of a 1.14 mm aluminium panel, so the ink becomes part of the surface rather than sitting on top of it. The result is luminous color and a level of vibrancy no paper can reach — particularly striking on water, night skies, and backlit cloud.
- Surface — glossy, on a white base so whites stay true and color reads naturally.
- Durability — protective polymer coating; scratch-resistant, water-resistant, and easy to wipe clean.
- Mounting — inset frame that floats the panel roughly 3/4″ off the wall.
- Hanging — hanging wire pre-installed. Stainless Steel Mounting Posts available as an option — 3/4″ posts on small and medium sizes, 1″ posts on large; recommended for healthcare and other high-traffic settings.
Mounting Hardware
Hanging Wire — the standard option. Framed prints ship with wire installed on the frame; framed canvas ships with a black backboard and wire; metal prints ship with an inset frame and wire. Intended for homes and other low-traffic, controlled settings.
Three-Point Secure Mount — available on Framed Fine Art Paper Prints and Framed Canvas, in every frame style and size. Security hardware fastens the piece to the wall at three points so it cannot be lifted off a hook or knocked out of level by incidental contact.
Stainless Steel Mounting Posts — available on White Metallic Prints. Brushed stainless posts hold the panel a fixed distance off the wall for a clean floating reveal: 3/4″ posts on small and medium sizes, 1″ posts on large sizes.
For healthcare and high-traffic environments: the hanging wire option is not recommended. Wire-hung artwork rests on a hook and can be lifted, shifted, or removed without tools. For hospitals, clinics, veterinary practices, commercial offices, hospitality, and public corridors we recommend the Three-Point Secure Mount or Stainless Steel Mounting Posts. Hardware selection, wall substrate, anchors, and installation remain the responsibility of the purchaser and the facility. Note: we do not currently supply artwork for behavioral health, psychiatric, or other ligature-risk environments — these require purpose-built ligature-resistant assemblies. See our Terms of Sale.
Production & Care
Every piece is produced to order, typically within 2–3 business days, and arrives ready to hang. Keep work out of direct sunlight to preserve the inks. Dust framed prints and metal with a soft dry cloth; canvas may be wiped gently with a barely damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasives.
Room images are illustrations of framing, matting, and mounting options. Frame color and mat width vary by the size and format you select.
Your print comes with its own QR plaque
Every print ships with a 4 by 2 inch aluminum plaque like the one shown here. Mount it beside the frame and anyone in the room can scan it with a phone and see the full Light Over Stone, River, and Crown collection. The plaque is included in the price and arrives separately from the print.
