Terms and Conditions

Healing Light Media — Last updated 11 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of healing-light.org, the purchase of artwork, prints, media, products, digital content, and any related services offered by Healing Light Media, LLC (“Healing Light Media”, “we”, “us”).

By accessing this website, purchasing any product, viewing any media, downloading any permitted content, or otherwise using this site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use this website or place an order.

1. Eligibility and Acceptance

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order. By placing an order you confirm that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

If you are ordering on behalf of an organization, hospital, clinic, gallery, or other institution, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Ownership of Content and Intellectual Property

All photographs, images, artwork, video footage, aerial footage, music, lyrics, written content, designs, logos, trademarks, trade names, website content, product descriptions, audiovisual works, and other media displayed on this website or offered by Healing Light Media are the exclusive property of Healing Light Media, Richard Abraham, or the applicable rights holder, unless otherwise stated.

All such content is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.

No content from this website may be copied, downloaded, screenshotted, reproduced, modified, distributed, published, displayed, transmitted, sold, licensed, used in advertising, incorporated into another work, used in artificial intelligence training datasets, minted as an NFT, used in derivative works, or commercially exploited in any way without prior written permission from Healing Light Media.

3. Purchase of Artwork Does Not Transfer Copyright

The purchase of a print, framed artwork, physical product, digital product, license, video, music file, or other item does not transfer copyright, authorship, ownership, or any intellectual property rights to the purchaser.

Purchasers receive only the physical item or limited usage rights expressly stated at the time of purchase. All underlying copyrights and intellectual property rights remain the property of Healing Light Media or the applicable rights holder.

Unless a separate written license agreement is signed, purchasers may not reproduce, scan, photograph, resell, distribute, license, publish, or otherwise exploit any purchased artwork or media.

4. Permitted Use of Purchased Prints

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, purchased prints and framed works are intended for personal, institutional, decorative, therapeutic, healthcare, hospitality, office, or display use only.

Permitted display does not include reproduction, resale, commercial merchandising, advertising use, digital publication, or sub-licensing.

Healthcare institutions, hospitals, clinics, galleries, commercial facilities, and other organizations purchasing artwork may display the physical artwork in the location for which it was purchased, but may not reproduce the artwork in brochures, websites, advertising, social media campaigns, fundraising materials, or other media without written permission or a separate license.

5. Music, Lyrics, and Audio Content

All music, lyrics, audio recordings, song concepts, compositions, arrangements, and related written or audiovisual materials made available through Healing Light Media are protected intellectual property.

No music, lyrics, melodies, recordings, stems, videos, or related content may be copied, sampled, reproduced, distributed, publicly performed, synchronized with video, used in social media, used in advertising, uploaded to streaming platforms, sold, remixed, altered, or otherwise exploited without prior written authorization.

Access to music or lyrical content through this website does not grant any license for public performance, synchronization, mechanical reproduction, commercial use, broadcast, streaming redistribution, or derivative works.

6. Video Footage and Motion Media

All video footage, aerial footage, landscape footage, motion graphics, slideshows, promotional videos, and related audiovisual content are owned by Healing Light Media or the applicable rights holder.

No video content may be copied, downloaded, screen-recorded, reproduced, edited, cropped, color graded, redistributed, embedded, sold, licensed, used in advertising, used as stock footage, uploaded to another platform, or incorporated into any film, video, social media post, presentation, commercial, or other project without prior written permission.

Unauthorised use of video or motion media may result in legal action.

7. Website Images and Preview Files

Images displayed on this website may be optimized, compressed, watermarked, cropped, or presented for preview purposes only. They are not provided as downloadable image files and may not be used as stock images, reference images, design assets, AI prompts, training materials, or free digital artwork.

Any unauthorised copying or use of website images is strictly prohibited.

8. Product Descriptions, Color, and Display Variations

Healing Light Media makes reasonable efforts to display artwork, colors, sizing, materials, framing options, and product details accurately. However, actual colors, contrast, brightness, sharpness, paper texture, frame finish, matting, and scale may vary based on monitor settings, device displays, lighting conditions, print materials, cropping, aspect ratio, and production processes.

Such variations are normal and do not constitute a defect.

Customers are responsible for reviewing product specifications, sizes, media types, frame selections, matting options, cropping previews, and shipping information before placing an order.

9. Print-on-Demand Fulfillment

Healing Light Media uses third-party print-on-demand and fulfillment partners, including Lumaprints, to produce, package, and ship certain artwork and products.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that production and fulfillment may be handled by a third-party provider. Production timelines, shipping timelines, packaging methods, carrier handling, replacement procedures, and refund eligibility may be subject to the policies and operational requirements of the applicable fulfillment provider.

Healing Light Media reserves the right to select, change, or substitute print labs, fulfillment vendors, materials, paper types, framing components, production methods, or shipping carriers when necessary, provided the final product is substantially consistent with the item purchased.

The role of Lumaprints is limited to production, printing, packaging, and fulfillment services. The use of Lumaprints or any other fulfillment provider does not transfer copyright, authorship, ownership, or intellectual property rights in any Healing Light Media image, artwork, photograph, video still, design, or related media.

10. Custom-Made Products

Most fine art prints, framed prints, matted prints, canvas prints, metal prints, acrylic prints, large-format prints, and related products are custom-made to order.

Because these products are produced specifically for each customer’s selected artwork, size, medium, frame, finish, matting, quantity, and shipping destination, all sales are final once production has begun, except in cases of verified damage, manufacturing defect, incorrect item, confirmed non-delivery, or material fulfillment error as described below.

11. Order Review and Customer Responsibility

Before submitting an order, customers are responsible for reviewing the artwork title, print size, crop and orientation, medium or paper type, frame and matting selections, quantity, shipping address, billing information, contact information, and any special order instructions.

Healing Light Media is not responsible for errors entered by the customer, including incorrect shipping addresses, wrong product selections, wrong sizes, duplicate orders, failure to review the order before checkout, or failure to provide accurate information required for production or shipping.

12. Order Acceptance and Formation of Contract

Your order is an offer to purchase. It is not accepted until we confirm acceptance. The order confirmation email you receive immediately after checkout is an acknowledgement that we have received your order; it does not constitute acceptance.

A binding contract is formed only when the order is released to production or dispatched, whichever occurs first. Until that point we may decline or cancel an order for any lawful reason, including product unavailability, suspected fraud, pricing or description errors, inability to verify payment, or a shipping destination we cannot serve. Where an order is declined after payment has been taken, the full amount will be refunded.

13. Pricing, Payment, and Accepted Methods

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices, product availability, shipping charges, taxes, discounts, and promotions may change without notice.

Healing Light Media reserves the right to correct pricing errors, refuse orders, cancel orders, or limit quantities at its discretion. Orders are not accepted until payment is authorised and the order is confirmed.

Payments are processed by our payment provider. We accept major credit and debit cards, and where offered at checkout, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and the pay-over-time options Klarna, Affirm, and Cash App Afterpay. Pay-over-time services are provided by those third parties under their own terms and eligibility criteria; Healing Light Media is not a party to that credit arrangement.

Healing Light Media does not receive or store your full card number. Payment card data is transmitted directly to the payment processor. By submitting payment information you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method presented.

14. Sales Tax

Healing Light Media is located in Florida and collects Florida sales tax on orders shipped within Florida at the rate applicable at the time of purchase. Where we are required to collect tax in other jurisdictions, that tax will be calculated and displayed at checkout before you pay.

Where sales tax is not collected by us, the purchaser may still be responsible for any applicable use tax in their own jurisdiction.

15. Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled only if cancellation is requested before production begins.

Because products are custom-made and may enter production quickly, cancellation requests are not guaranteed. Once an order is in production, prepared for shipment, or shipped, it cannot be cancelled. To request a cancellation, contact us immediately with your order number.

16. Returns and Refunds

Because products are custom-made to order, Healing Light Media does not accept returns or issue refunds for buyer’s remorse, incorrect size selection, preference changes, color expectations caused by monitor differences, ordering mistakes, delayed but delivered shipments, low-resolution source expectations, or dissatisfaction unrelated to damage, defect, incorrect item, confirmed non-delivery, or fulfillment error.

Eligible refund, replacement, reprint, store credit, or other resolution requests may be considered only for:

  • Items damaged in transit
  • Manufacturing defects
  • Incorrect item received
  • Confirmed non-delivery or loss by the shipping carrier
  • Material fulfillment error verified by Healing Light Media or its fulfillment provider

Where applicable, our fulfillment provider may offer replacement, reprint, or refund remedies for verified defects, workmanship issues, damaged items, or lost shipments, subject to its policies and proof requirements.

Healing Light Media reserves the right to determine whether a refund, replacement, reprint, store credit, or other resolution is appropriate based on the circumstances, customer documentation, fulfillment-provider review, carrier information, and applicable law.

17. Damaged or Defective Items

If an item arrives damaged or defective, you must notify Healing Light Media in writing within 48 hours of documented delivery.

Your notice must include your order number, full name, delivery address, a description of the issue, clear photographs of the damaged or defective item, clear photographs of the packaging, clear photographs of the shipping label, and photographs of any visible damage to the box or packaging materials.

You must retain the original item and packaging until the claim is resolved. The shipping carrier, Healing Light Media, or the fulfillment provider may require inspection, additional photographs, pickup, or return of the damaged item and packaging.

Failure to report damage within the required timeframe, failure to provide clear photographic proof, or failure to retain packaging may limit or prevent replacement, reprint, refund, or claim approval.

18. Lost or Undelivered Packages

If tracking shows that an order was not delivered, Healing Light Media will work with the fulfillment provider and shipping carrier to investigate.

If the carrier or fulfillment provider confirms non-delivery or loss, Healing Light Media may provide a replacement, reprint, refund, store credit, or other appropriate resolution.

If tracking confirms delivery to the address provided at checkout, Healing Light Media is not responsible for theft, loss after delivery, incorrect addresses, mailroom errors, building access issues, failure to retrieve packages, or packages delivered to a secure location, front desk, parcel locker, or receiving department.

19. Shipping Timelines

Production and shipping timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing.

Shipping may be handled by carriers used by our fulfillment provider, including UPS, FedEx, the United States Postal Service, or other available carriers.

Healing Light Media is not responsible for delays caused by print production, vendor delays, supply shortages, carrier delays, weather events, incorrect addresses, customs processing, holidays, strikes, force majeure events, or circumstances outside its reasonable control.

Shipping charges are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where a refund is approved due to verified fulfillment error, carrier failure, confirmed non-delivery, or other eligible claim.

20. International Orders

Orders are currently accepted for delivery within the United States. Where an international order is accepted by separate written arrangement, customers are responsible for any customs fees, duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, tariffs, VAT, or other charges imposed by the destination country.

Healing Light Media is not responsible for delays, seizures, customs holds, rejected deliveries, returned international shipments, refused deliveries, or additional costs related to international shipping.

If an international order is returned, delayed, rejected, or abandoned because of customs issues, unpaid duties, incorrect shipping information, or refusal by the recipient, any refund or replacement will be determined at the sole discretion of Healing Light Media, subject to vendor and carrier policies.

21. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Customers agree to contact Healing Light Media first to resolve any order issue before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

Fraudulent chargebacks, false claims, or misuse of payment dispute processes may result in order cancellation, account restriction, collection efforts, or legal action.

22. QR Codes, Attribution, and Artist Identification

Certain artwork may include or be accompanied by artist identification, website information, certificate of authenticity, QR code, label, plaque, or other attribution materials.

Where Healing Light Media provides a QR code, attribution label, certificate, or display card with purchased artwork, the purchaser agrees not to alter, misrepresent, remove, obscure, or misuse such materials in any way that falsely suggests ownership, authorship, endorsement, or affiliation.

For institutional, healthcare, gallery, hospitality, or commercial installations, Healing Light Media may request or require reasonable artist attribution or website identification as part of a separate purchase agreement, proposal, or display arrangement.

23. Certificates of Authenticity and Limited Editions

Where applicable, certain works may be sold with certificates of authenticity, edition numbers, signatures, or documentation.

Certificates of authenticity apply only to the specific purchased work and do not transfer copyright or reproduction rights.

Limited edition designations, if offered, apply only to the edition parameters stated at the time of sale. Healing Light Media reserves the right to offer the same image in different sizes, formats, crops, media, collections, or open-edition products unless expressly restricted in writing.

24. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Healing Light Media content for commercial reproduction; resale or merchandising; stock image use; advertising or marketing campaigns; social media content without permission; website or blog imagery without permission; AI training, machine learning, dataset creation, or generative model input; NFTs, blockchain assets, or tokenized media; political campaigns; defamatory, obscene, misleading, unlawful, or exploitative purposes; medical or therapeutic claims not expressly authorised in writing; or any use that suggests endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or affiliation without permission.

25. No Medical, Therapeutic, or Clinical Advice

The mission of Healing Light Media is to inspire, uplift, support, and create healing environments through visual and musical media. However, the content, products, music, videos, and artwork offered by Healing Light Media are not medical treatment, clinical therapy, psychological counselling, or a substitute for professional care.

No statement on this website should be interpreted as medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a guarantee of therapeutic outcome. Research referenced on this website describes findings in the published literature and is not a claim about any individual product or outcome.

26. Charitable, Philanthropic, or Cause-Related Statements

Healing Light Media may describe charitable intentions, philanthropic projects, donations, collaborations, or mission-driven initiatives. Any such statements are subject to the specific terms, timing, structure, and availability of the applicable program.

Unless expressly stated in writing, purchases are not automatically tax-deductible to the purchaser. Customers should consult their own tax advisor regarding deductibility.

27. User Submissions and Communications

If you submit comments, testimonials, photographs, installation images, feedback, messages, or other materials to Healing Light Media, you grant Healing Light Media a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, publish, and share such submissions for business, promotional, archival, customer service, or marketing purposes, unless you expressly state otherwise in writing.

You represent that any materials you submit are accurate, lawful, and do not infringe the rights of others.

This does not apply to room photographs or answers you send through the project intake. Those are used only to prepare your proposal. See the section on the Curator.

28. Mounting Hardware and Installation Environments

Artwork is offered with a choice of hanging hardware. Hanging wire is the standard option and is installed unless another option is selected. Three-point security hardware is available on framed fine art paper prints and framed canvas in every frame style and size. Stainless steel mounting posts are available on Glossy White Metal prints — 3/4″ posts on small and medium sizes, and 1″ posts on large sizes.

The hanging wire option is intended for residential use and other low-traffic, controlled settings. Wire-hung artwork rests on a hook and can be lifted from the wall, knocked out of level by incidental contact, or removed without tools. In healthcare facilities, clinics, veterinary practices, commercial offices, hospitality, educational settings, and any public or high-traffic corridor, we recommend and encourage the three-point security hardware or mounting post options instead. These fasten the piece to the wall and substantially reduce the risk of shifting, falling, tampering, and theft.

These are general recommendations, not a safety certification, an engineering judgment about your specific wall, or a representation of compliance with any building code, accessibility standard, or facility policy. Selection of appropriate hardware, wall substrate, and anchors — and installation by qualified personnel — remain the responsibility of the purchaser and the facility. We do not perform installation.

29. Behavioral Health, Psychiatric, and Ligature-Risk Environments — Not Currently Served

We do not currently sell, market, or knowingly fulfill orders for artwork to be installed in behavioral health, psychiatric, or mental health treatment environments, or in any area subject to ligature-resistance or anti-ligature requirements.

This is a deliberate scope limitation adopted in the interest of patient safety. Artwork installed in these environments is expected to be a purpose-built, ligature-resistant assembly — typically a sealed unit with a polycarbonate or comparable shatter-resistant face, radiused edges, tamper-resistant fasteners, flush mounting, and no exposed attachment points or breakable components — and is evaluated under the individual facility’s own ligature risk assessment. Our products are fine art prints in conventional frame, canvas, and metal constructions. They are not designed, tested, rated, or certified as ligature-resistant or anti-ligature products, and the availability of three-point security hardware does not make them so.

Accordingly, orders identified as intended for these environments may be declined or cancelled and refunded. Facilities seeking artwork for behavioral health settings should consult suppliers specializing in ligature-resistant products. Nothing in this section limits sales to the administrative, staff, public lobby, or other non-patient-care areas of a healthcare organization, subject to that organization’s own assessment.

30. Customer Accounts

You may create an account during checkout or on the My Account page. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree that the information you provide is accurate and kept current. We may suspend or close accounts used in violation of these Terms. You may request deletion of your account at any time using the contact details below; records of completed orders are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes.

31. Newsletter

Subscribing to the Healing Light newsletter is optional and free, and no purchase is required. Subscription occurs only through your affirmative action—a signup form, or an unchecked box you tick at checkout or registration—followed by a confirmation email (confirmed opt-in). Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not affect transactional emails such as order confirmations and shipping updates.

32. Healing Light Curator

Access is by completing the project intake, or by an access code we provide, and a cookie remembers your access on your device. When you ask it to, the Curator emails your shortlist to the address on your intake and to our design team. The Healing Light Curator is a complimentary browser-based tool that helps visualize and shortlist artwork for a specific room. Its outputs—including rankings, print sizes, format and framing suggestions, mounting, glazing, hang-height and lighting guidance—are general informational aids only. They do not constitute professional, architectural, engineering, interior-design, clinical, or code-compliance advice.

Measurements derived from photographs are approximate. The Curator is a software tool, and as with any tool, user error, device and camera limitations, and hardware or software errors can and do occur; sizing outputs should be treated as estimates. You are responsible for confirming all wall, furniture, and artwork dimensions with a tape measure before placing an order and before installing. References within the tool to accessibility or facility standards are provided for orientation only; compliance with applicable codes and standards, and the safety and adequacy of any installation, remain the sole responsibility of the purchaser, facility, and installer. The tool is provided “as is,” and we may modify, suspend, or withdraw it at any time.

Project intake. You may send one intake per room, and each room gets its own Curator code. A code is made from your answers. It holds no name or contact details, and anyone who has the code can load those answers. We cannot switch an old code off, so when you update a room, use the newest email for that room.

33. Design Consultation Sessions

Design consultation sessions are paid, scheduled sessions of general design guidance on the selection, sizing, framing, and placement of artwork, conducted remotely by video call. They do not constitute professional, architectural, engineering, interior-design, clinical, or code-compliance advice, and no drawings, specifications, or construction documents are produced. Compliance with applicable codes and standards, and the safety and adequacy of any installation, remain the sole responsibility of the purchaser, facility, and installer.

Hours are purchased in advance. The first session must be booked within 90 days of purchase. Purchased hours remain usable for 180 days from the date of purchase and expire at the end of that period. Sessions are booked in 30-minute increments and may be taken in one sitting or across several. If you purchase additional hours, they are added to your existing balance, and both the 90-day booking period and the 180-day usable period restart from the date of that most recent purchase and apply to every hour on your account. Unused hours are refundable within 14 days of purchase; thereafter they are non-refundable. A session may be rescheduled at no charge with at least 24 hours’ notice; a session missed without notice draws on the purchased time. Sessions are ordinarily offered on weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Eastern time. Times are arranged by email and are subject to availability.

Consultation reimbursement. When you buy your first consultation hour we email you a one time code worth $200 toward artwork. One code per customer, however many hours you buy. It applies to a single order of $2,500 or more, cannot be combined with another coupon, has no cash value, and expires 180 days after it is issued.

34. Journal and Editorial Content

The Journal and our newsletters contain editorial and informational content, including summaries of published research relating to photography, light, and the environment of care. Such research belongs to its respective authors and is cited where referenced; a summary is not an endorsement, and findings described are those of the cited studies. Nothing in the Journal or any newsletter constitutes medical, therapeutic, or clinical advice, as further described in the section titled “No Medical, Therapeutic, or Clinical Advice.” Editorial content may be updated, unpublished, or removed at any time.

35. Privacy and Data

Information you provide when browsing, inquiring, or ordering is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. To fulfill an order we share the information necessary for production and delivery — including your name, shipping address, and order details — with our fulfillment provider and shipping carrier.

36. Electronic Communications

By placing an order or contacting us, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including order confirmations, shipping notifications, and responses to inquiries. You agree that electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

Transactional messages relating to your order are not marketing and cannot be opted out of while an order is active.

37. Third-Party Services

This website may use third-party services for payment processing, printing, framing, shipping, analytics, website hosting, email communications, music platforms, video hosting, or other business functions.

Healing Light Media is not responsible for the acts, omissions, policies, delays, outages, errors, data practices, production limitations, packaging methods, carrier selections, or service interruptions of third-party providers except as required by law.

Use of third-party services may also be subject to the terms, privacy policies, refund policies, shipping policies, production standards, and operational requirements of those providers.

38. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Healing Light Media shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, loss of data, reputational harm, business interruption, emotional distress, or damages arising from delays, production errors, shipping issues, website errors, third-party services, or unauthorised use of content.

The total liability of Healing Light Media for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.

39. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Healing Light Media, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, partners, vendors, fulfillment providers, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of this website, your breach of these Terms, your misuse of any content, your violation of intellectual property rights, your violation of applicable law, or any inaccurate information you provide in connection with an order.

40. Disclaimer of Warranties

This website and all content, products, and services are provided “as is” and “as available”, except as expressly stated in writing.

Healing Light Media makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted website access, error-free operation, exact color matching, exact production timelines, guaranteed availability, exact material availability, exact carrier performance, or specific outcomes from viewing, displaying, listening to, or using its media.

41. Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with such a right, that right prevails to the extent of the conflict.

42. Force Majeure

Healing Light Media is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, hurricanes, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic, war, civil unrest, terrorism, labor disputes, utility or telecommunications failure, hosting or payment-processor outage, supply shortage, carrier disruption, or governmental action.

43. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms, this website, or any purchase shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless otherwise required by law.

44. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any written agreement signed for a specific commission or installation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Healing Light Media regarding the subject matter, and supersede any prior understanding. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent; we may assign ours in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business.

45. Changes to These Terms

Healing Light Media may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this website with a revised “Last updated” date. The Terms in force at the time you place an order govern that order.

Continued use of the website after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
