The Journey Behind the Healing Light

My Journey from Medicine to the Lens

I have spent over 15 years practicing medicine and over a decade behind the lens as a professional photographer. These two paths—science and art—have shaped how I see the world, and ultimately, how I understand light.

As a physician, I’ve come to appreciate both the beauty and the fragility of life. In medicine, light is not just symbolic—it is literal. We use it to diagnose, to guide, and to treat. In some cases, it allows us to reach places where the scalpel cannot safely go.

Through photography, I’ve spent years pursuing light across landscapes—mountains, coastlines, night skies, and quiet natural spaces. In those environments, I began to see a parallel. The same light that reveals structure and guides treatment in medicine also brings calm, clarity, and perspective in the natural world.

Healing Light was born at that intersection.

My work as a physician allows me to heal through skill and science. My work as a photographer is an extension of that purpose—an effort to bring calm, reflection, and a sense of peace.

This is not just a collection of images. It is a continuation of the same mission:
to use light in a way that restores.
