Moving through Italy and France, then along the American coasts—California’s fog and cypress, Oregon’s storm-carved shore, the granite edges of Maine, and home at last to the bridges and gulf light of the Florida Keys—the photographs trace light through cathedrals and castles, tides and headlands, harbors and lighthouses.
This volume is about connection—the endurance carried in ancient stone, the duty embodied by a beacon, and the instinct to guide each other home. Where Volume I stands before what no hand could make, this volume turns toward the shore held, the harbor kept, and the lamp lit against the dark.
